If you’ve read one of my first posts you’ll know that I rented an apartment on the Internet before I came to BsAs, but only for one month. I had some doubts/fears about the whole process! However, the agency I used, www.bahomeandbusiness.com, was great. The apartment was ready and clean and the area wonderful. As it turned out I was able to stay for two more months. I’m at the halfway point of my adventure here and although I would have stayed where I was I also thought moving was a great opportunity to get to know another area of the city. My new hood is Palermo, still not sure if it’s ‘viejo’ or ‘soho’.
Probably the best thing about this apartment it that it’s at the back of the building and off of the street, OMG it’s sooooooo quiet! You’ve no idea the noise level in this city, buses, taxis, cars, trucks & dogs, ohhhh they love their ‘perros’ here, it is constant and unrelenting and the garbage gets picked up after midnight!
The window here is huge and my view is backyard, courtyards and rooftops. The building is new and although the kitchen is still small, more functional. One of the other great benefits, I’m walking distance to two of my milongas, Salón Canning and Viruta!
